ULSTER HERALD
Omagh, Northern Ireland
2001

The Ulster Herald was one of the widest broadsheets Tony Sutton had ever seen when he first visietd Omagh in 1999.

NDA's original brief was to convert the 10-column paper to a more manageable tabloid format. Then the managers changed their minds and decided they'd just lop an inch off the width . . . but still keep the 10 columns.

Big changes – full colour, electronic make-up – all took place on the same day.

Headlines are in Walburn; text is Worldwide.
