NEWS The Birmingham News, Alabama's biggest paper, was one of the worst-printed jobs Tony Sutton had ever worked when he assisted with its redesign at the beginning of 1999. A few months later, the printing still wasn't perfect, but modifications to the press, a new, cleaner format, crisper typefaces, and a narrower width combined to give the paper a much brighter appearance. Headlines are Walburn, while the text is Adobe's Utopia.
